About Gordon Wong

Registered Health Psychologist

Therapy is not just about talking through problems. It is about making sense of them, seeing how the pieces connect, and turning insight into action. My process-oriented style helps you understand the why behind strategies and the how of putting them into practice in real life.

I work best with clients who are ready to make meaningful changes, even if the path is not always comfortable. This can mean exploring your past to better understand your present, without diving into emotionally unsafe territory before the groundwork is in place.

That said, I welcome the full spectrum — from people ready to dig in, to those feeling stuck, or those who simply need space to talk things through. My aim is to help you move forward step by step with strategies that stick and skills that last.

What you can expect from me

I bring a mix of professional training, lived human experience, and a genuine curiosity about what makes you tick. Think of me as a coach who can sit with you in the tough moments, challenge you when needed, and help you celebrate your progress along the way.

I often draw on neuroscience, memory recall tools, and motivation science to help you build small, consistent habits — the kind that compound over time into powerful, long-term gains.

Fun facts

I love dancing and running (though I am far from pro). These activities are a big part of my life, and I sometimes use them as examples when explaining mindfulness. I am also a visual learner, so I sometimes sketch ideas during sessions to make concepts easier to grasp — but fair warning, my drawing skills are questionable.😉

Authenticity matters

There is no “therapist mode” here. I bring my real, unfiltered self so you can do the same. Yes, we will have serious moments, but when the time is right, I will not hesitate to add some banter or offer a fresh angle — because sometimes a good laugh is exactly what we need to break through.

This is your journey, and I am here to help you own it.
